This free AI SEO course teaches you how to get your website cited by Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, in under three minutes.

When I searched Google for "AI SEO course", the top of the page was an AI Overview, and five of its ten links went to YouTube videos. That's the new first page. Here's how to get on it.

Every AI search tool works in three steps. It searches, it reads, and it cites. So you need to be three things. Retrievable. Quotable. And corroborated.

First, retrievable. If Google and Bing can't index your page, AI can't find it. Check that your key pages are indexed in Google Search Console. Open your robots.txt file, and make sure you're not blocking OAI-SearchBot, which is ChatGPT search, or PerplexityBot. Then set up Bing Webmaster Tools and submit your sitemap, because ChatGPT search uses third-party search providers, and Bing has long been part of that.

Second, quotable. AI lifts short, direct answers. Build each page out of question headings, the way people actually ask. Right under each heading, answer the question in 40 to 60 words that stand on their own. And back your claims with numbers, saying where they came from and when. Of the 27 AI SEO courses we tracked in September 2026, 12 were free. Specific, sourced and dated gets cited.

Dataset note: the figures in this passage (12 free courses out of 27) come from version 1.0 of the study's dataset, which began with 27 records on September 16, 2026. The dataset now holds 65 course records, and 27 of the 48 with a published price model have no standalone course fee. See the current findings.

Third, corroborated. AI trusts what other sites say about you more than what you say about yourself. Write one clear sentence about your brand, and use it everywhere. Then find the pages AI tools already cite for your topic, like roundups, reviews and forum threads, and get mentioned on them. Links still matter too. Links help you get retrieved. Mentions help you get recommended.

Finally, measure it. Pick 20 prompts your buyers ask. Run them in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Mode every month, and track whether you're mentioned and cited. Watch the trend, not one answer.

If you want the tactics that are working this month, the course I'd pick is AI SEO Rainmakers, Charles Floate's community on Skool. The link is in the description. It's my affiliate link, so I may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.

That's the whole AI SEO course. Be retrievable, quotable and corroborated. Subscribe, and tell me in the comments which question you want ChatGPT to recommend you for.
